Worms may look harmless but they can cause serious health issues in your furry friends. Fortunately, all it takes is regular deworming treatments to protect your pet from worm infestations. Call us at 613-695-2060 to learn more about the process.
Yes. Your pet needs to be dewormed approximately once every 3 months all throughout their life. Each pet may require a different dosing schedule depending on their lifestyle and living environment. For example, hunting dogs, as well as pets who live with seniors/young children may need more treatments than other pets. All pets need lifelong deworming.
Absolutely. We still recommend deworming pets who spend 100% of their time indoors, or those who live in high-rise buildings. Parasites can still find their way to your pet by using you, other people or other animals as vehicles to go inside your home.
Please remember all pets are different, but the most common signs of worms we see are a potbelly, poor coat, diarrhea, sudden weight loss, vomiting and abdominal pain. If you see any of these symptoms please call us right away. They can also be warning signs of issues aside from worms.
